The Indian stock market was trading at day’s low with Sensex down 436 points at 69114 mark while Nifty was down 133 points and was trading at 20773 level.
Around 1108 stocks advanced while 1270 declined and 110 remained unchanged.
Among the sectors, selling was seen in the IT index which shed over 2 percent dragged by TCS, Infosys, Coforge and Tech Mahindra which shed over 2 percent each followed by LTI Mindtree, Coforge and Persistent Systems.
Metal stocks were also under pressure with the top losers being APL Apollo Tubes, Adani Enterprises, JSW Steel, Welspun Corp and Vedanta which shed 0.5-1 percent each.
However, some buying was seen in pharma and FMCG names. The top gainers included Aurobindo Pharma which jumped over 2 percent followed by Glenmark Pharma, Alkem Labs and IPCA Labs. The top FMCG gainers included Radico Khaitan which jumped over 4 percent followed by Emami, Colgate Palmolive and Varun Beverages.

Shares of Shilpa Medicare surged 5 percent in early trade on December 13 after the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA) Australia approved its Bengaluru Unit IV for manufacturing, labelling, packaging and testing of medicinal oral mouth dissolving films.
Shares of HPL Electric & Power were locked at 10 percent upper circuit of Rs 220.65 per share on December 13 after the company bagged an order worth Rs 545 crore for smart meters, supporting India’s national metering initiative.
