The Indian stock market was trading flat intraday on March 4, 2024. At 1:39 PM, Sensex added 71 points at 73,877.43 while Nifty gained 69 points and was trading at 22,408.15.
Around 895 stocks advanced and 1,577 declined while 93 stocks remained unchanged.
Among the sectors, oil & gas gained 1.5 percent followed by pharma, realty, and PSU Bank which were up 0.5 percent each.

On March 4, 2024, Adani Ports’ share price reached a record high as the company experienced a 33 percent year-on-year increase in cargo volumes for February. As per an exchange filing, APSEZ managed 35.4 million metric tons of total cargo in February, marking a 33 percent surge compared to the volumes handled the previous year.
On March 4, the stock price of MOIL experienced a rally following the announcement by the state-owned manganese ore mining company that its production in February saw a significant 15 percent year-on-year increase. MOIL achieved its highest-ever February production, reaching 1.51 lakh tonnes of manganese (Mn) ore, reflecting a 15 percent YoY growth. Simultaneously, sales also exhibited a noteworthy increase, totaling 1.56 lakh tonnes and showing an 18 percent rise compared to the same month in the previous year.
