The Indian stock market ended deep in the red on February 28, 2024. At close, Sensex was down 790 points at 72,304.88 while Nifty shed 247 stocks at 21,951.15.
Around 442 stocks advanced and 2136 stocks declined while 79 stocks remained unchanged.
All sectoral indices ended in the red with auto, oil & gas, power, and realty indices down 2 percent each.

Asia-Pacific stock markets mostly fell on Wednesday. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index slipped 1.3 percent. Japan’s Nikkei slipped 0.08 percent to 39,208.03. However, Kospi added 1 percent at 2,652.29.
European stocks were slightly lower on Wednesday morning, continuing the cautious global sentiment seen this week. The regional Stoxx 600 index was down 0.15 percent. At 4:50 PM IST, FTSE was down 0.55 percent at 7,640.48 while CAC shed 0.11 percent at 7,939.50. German DAX added 0.1 percent at 17,573.27.
