The Indian stock market snapped its 2-day losing streak on February 27, 2024. At close, Sensex was up 305 points at 73,095.22 while Nifty added 76 points and was trading at 22,198.35.
Around 991 stocks advanced and 1,561 declined while 106 stocks remained unchanged.
Among sectors, Auto, Capital Goods, Information Technology, Pharma, and Realty were up 0.5-1 percent each, while the Oil & Gas index shed 1 percent.

Asia-Pacific markets traded mixed Tuesday, with Hong Kong stocks leading the declines and Japan’s Nikkei 225 giving up gains from earlier in the session. Japan’s Nikkei 225 traded 0.1% higher to close at 39,239.52. The broader Topix index added 0.18% to close at 2,678.46, according to a CNBC.com report.
In Australia, the S&P/ASX 200 was 0.13% higher, closing at 7,663. South Korea’s Kospi edged 0.83% lower to end at 2,625.05, while the small-cap Kosdaq fell 1.57% to close at 653.75.
European markets were mixed Tuesday morning, following a global move lower. The Stoxx 600 index was flat. FTSE was trading flat at 7,684.31 while CAC was down 0.03 at 7,927.31. German DAX gained 0.45 percent at 17,500.77.
